This is an ActiveX component that cleans up undesired toolbars, for use in applications.
Toolbar Cleaner ActiveX 2.8.1 is a DLL control that helps detect unwanted toolbars, apps, add-ons, and plug-ins. The end user is able to remove these unwanted toolbars detected. Undesirable toolbars for example, could be Ask, Alot, Babylon, Bing and MSN Toolbars. Even when these unwanted components cannot be uninstalled in the normal manner, this DLL has features that will remove the items you would not want. When you are building applications where you want to integrate such functionality, this code package is a good bet. Toolbar Cleaner ActiveX is a simple way to integrate or to create own application with the functions for removing unwanted toolbars, apps, add-ons, and plug-ins of Windows browsers in your applications. The code package that you download has a trial version. It also has a code sample in C# to illustrate its integration.
All you need is a single line of code that integrates the DLL. The DLL includes event handling as well as error handling functions. The interface presented to the end user through your application will be very simple. Most users should not find any problems in getting used to it. It has a display list area and just two buttons. The first button is for initiating a scan. The second button starts cleaning the chosen toolbar functions. From the list found with the scan operation, the end user needs to just click on the checkboxes against each item. Scanning related methods include ScanningStart, ScanningAbort. CleningStart and CleaningAbort are the methods related to the cleaning operation. This is a very good product and trial candidate, if you needed one.
